John 'Jasper' Kump is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker [LCSW74670] who earned his Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California. He specializes in the treatment of trauma, anxiety disorders and a variety of addictions, working with individuals, couples and groups.

 

He has over 30 years of experience supporting those in recovery from addictions as well as with their partners/spouses. For the past several years, Jasper has worked primarily with veterans and their families experiencing homelessness and a wide variety of mental health challenges, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). 

 

Jasper also supports individuals and couples in exploring issues of sex and intimacy from a sex-positive framework.  He is a certified partner trauma specialist (CCPS) and works with both partners and those struggling directly with infidelity and sex/love addiction, from a trauma sensitive perspective.

 

He is passionate about working with those in the LGBT+ community. He also enjoys working with older adults and their families. Jasper has a great deal of training and experience with aging issues, including dementia and Alzheimer's.

 

Jasper uses a variety of clinical interventions rooted in neuroscience to support clients’ healing. He has a strengths-based approach and believes in a holistic model of mental wellness, integrating mind, body, spirit and community.
